Mutharaiyar birth anniversary
The 1,340{+t}{+h}birth anniversary of King Perumpidugu Mutharaiyar was celebrated on Saturday. District Collector K.S.Palanisamy garlanded the statue of the king at Cantonment. Leaders of parties and organisations such as the Tamil Nadu Mutherayar Munnetra Sangam and Tamil Nadu Mutherayar Sangam Youth Wing garlanded the statue.
