Cadre of Tamil Nadu Mutharaiyar Sangam damaged a State Transport Corporation bus near Vedaranyam in protest against the arrest of their leader, on Friday. Tamil Nadu Mutharaiyar Sangam cadre intercepted the SETC bus heading to Thiruthuraipoondi near Kariapattinam, and pasted condemnation notices on the bus protesting the arrest of the outfit’s leader Vishawanathan in Tiruchi on Thursday. A few members broke the front glass and window panes of the bus. A case has been registered based on the driver’s complaint, and four persons have been named accused.
